about
sue gifford artist & designer
Sue Gifford is a fine artist, muralist, surface decorator and professional furniture upcycler based in Cork, Ireland.
Originating from West Sussex, she has many years experience of creating magical environments and items for interiors. Whether on walls, on furniture or in a painting, her passion is for beautiful imagery realised from a love of adornment found in antique textiles and the intricate details discovered in nature.

An expert in her field, Sue's clients include hotels, restaurants, community and educational spaces, influencers and celebrities and she is happy to work both nationally and internationally. She has showcased her work at the House & Garden Festival at Olympia and Grand Designs Live London and Birmingham, appearing at both events on-stage several times over the past few years. Sue's work has also been featured in the Financial Times and Forbes.
A master furniture artist, Sue's ability to turn the worn and unfashionable into heirlooms of the future is highly sought-after: "Older, secondhand items have such soul, they are usually extremely well-made and built to last. It's always such a pleasure to work with clients to give one of a kind products which hold an emotional attachment, a complete style renaissance that will complement their homes interior design. It not only ensures the items remain in circulation but keeps history alive."
Working closely with her clients, whether creating a mural for their living room, a floor pattern for a hotel reception area or upcycling materials into unique pieces of decorative art, Sue encourages them to express their individuality and creativity which she then uses her wide ranging skill set to interpret and make a reality.
